A Social Business

In addition to offering touristic services to groups and independent travelers from Israel and around the world, Juha’s Guesthouse is a social business that initiates projects in the community for the empowerment of mainly youth and women. By serving as a bridge between the locals and visitors, we aim to provide the residents of Jiser with tools to interact with tourists and serve as a platform to link between guests and women who sell their hand-made souvenirs and local cuisine. Two successful projects initiated by the Guesthouse staff that have made an impact in the community are the YL (Young Leaders) leadership program for teens & the vocational training handcrafts & culinary program for empowering women & strengthening their self-confidence to enable them to pursue their dreams. These women and youth lead workshops, participate in our tours, food markets, and special events and we offer them support as they grow and set new goals.
